Craving an ice cold glass of Panera Green Tea on a warm summer day? You can totally make it at home with this simple copycat recipe!
Panera Bread is one of those restaurants I try to avoid at all costs, because you walk through the front door and run smackdab into a giant counter full o’ carbs. The cookies. The bagels. The scones. Oh, y’all.
But every once in a while, I get a hankering for their Iced Green Tea, which I cannot find on the menu anywhere else. So, in an effort to avoid coming into contact with the counter o’ carbs, I found this copycat Panera Green Tea recipe that I can make at home. Give it a whirl and let me know what you think.
Copycat Recipe: Panera's Iced Green Tea
- 6 cups water
- 7 tea bags Passionfruit Papaya Green Tea
- 3 TBSP honey
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 6 sprigs fresh mint (optional)
- Boil 6 cups of water. After it comes to a boil, add 7 tea bags. I like TerraVita Passionfruit Papaya Green Tea to match the flavors of Paneras. Extra tea bags will give it a bolder flavor so don't be scared to add one more. Remove from heat. While tea is still hot, add honey and lemon and stir well. If you like it sweeter, add more teaspoons of honey, Stevia or sugar to taste. Let steep until cool. Remove tea bags.Pour over ice, top with fresh mint (or don't. Totally optional) and enjoy!Â
